B206 Research And Methodologies![]() This project served as an opportunity to familiarise myself with the theoretical underpinnings for producing and evaluating research data. It was an opportunity to further my appreciation of methodological approaches to conducting in-depth research, examining their respective strengths and weaknesses, and to develop my analytical skills. Conducting a pilot study served as an opportunity for me to consider how I was going to conduct my research for my case study of UMTV, and to outline my aims for the case study and how these will be met. I enjoyed this unit and drawing on my interest in human behaviour, I was able to fully appreciate the psychological underpinnings of different research methods such as conducting interviews, participant observation, and mass observation. I was therefore able to rationalise which methods would be appropriate for ascertain specific information. This served as a solid structure for my case study, details of which can be found at http:/www.jamesrose.tv/umtv
