Like A Bat Out Of Hell: Synopsis
(in Third Person)
Like A Bat Out Of Hell (part 1) follows James Rose, a student who has physical disabilities, on a quest to gain consent to do a skydive to raise money for Comic Relief and Canine Partners.
This programme is atypical of others in the genre as it focuses on James' vibrant personality and passion for the causes as opposed to portraying disability as a barrier.
It aims to appeal to audiences regardless of whether or not they have a disability. It does this by featuring James completing a number of extreme tasks to prove that he is able to do the jump safely. The programme shows how bureaucracy and fear caused by ignorance threatens his mission.
